On the 23rd October 2015 a memorial to Albert McKenzie was unveiled in Bermondsey, London.

The first Albert McKenzie Trophy awarded, September 2015

A new trophy has been created for the best small calibre gunnery instructor at HMS Collingwood. The first trophy was award in September 2015 to Leading Seaman (AWW) Richard 'Chicco' Moores. The presentation was made at Millwall Football Club and event was attended by Colin and Nick McKenzie as guests of the Club Chairman John Berylson

Bermondsey Street Festival 2016 supports Albert McKenzie VC

The annual Bermondsey Street Festival ( ) was held this year on Saturday 20th September. One of the companies supporting the event was local estate agent Daniel Cobb ( ) who had a stand outside their office helping to raise funds for the Albert McKenzie VC memorial.

Millwall Football Club adopt Albert McKenzie as a local hero

Millwall football club based in London's South Bermondsey have adopted Albert McKenzie VC as a local hero. Albert was born in Alice Street off London Bridge Road and he and his family were all Millwall supporters. The club is now owned by American businessman John Berylman who is based in Boston Massachusetts. John and his fellow directors entertained Nick and Colin McKenzie in the Directors' box at Millwall on Saturday 19th September 2015 during their game against Southend.

HMS Vindictive moved to new memorial site

The bows of the Vindictive have now been moved to a new memorial site on the Oostelijke Strekdam, the newly constructed Eastern breakwater outside Ostend harbour.


 This location is near the place in Ostend harbour where the Vindictive was scuttled in May 1918 a few days after having taken part in the Raid on Zeebrugge.

Remembrance Service October 2014

Nick and Colin McKenzie attended a Service of Remembrance at St Martin-in-the-Fields, Trafalgar Square, London. The service was held in the presence of HRH Prince Henry of Wales.

Royal Navy help with fund raising

In May 2014 a fund raising dinner was held by the Royal Navy at HMS Collingwood, hosted by Admiral The Right Honourable The Lord West of Spithead GCB DSC 

Royal British Legion release WW1 album

Decca Records are releasing a very special album of spoken word and music titled 'Forever' to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. The Prime Minister, comedians, soap stars, Hollywood actors and the cast of War Horse have all been brought together to mark the most haunting moments of the war.
